Alienation from ones history, place and self is a prerequisite for oppression and underdevelopment. Thankfully, it is never possible to remove from view the seeds of change (education, positive relationships, love, family, wisdom, and sacrifice) that can be watered and turned into a new reality defined by enhanced justice, equality and humanity.
